The Chadwick Bay Regional Development Corporation (CBRDC) endevors preserve the character of the region wherein rural surroundings are enjoyed and none of the advantages of the city are lost while fostering safe, progressive, prosperous living. Our mission, to improve the quality of life for all residents through preserving and expanding existing businesses and industry, seeking new complimentary enterprises, and creating new opportunities for job creation and economic revitalization.
Governed by the chief elected officials of the nine member communities, the CBRDC meets monthly to take actions that accomplish projects throughout the region of northern Chautauqua County. The actions of the CBRDC will promote and enhance a comprehensive and integrated regional planning process that identifies priorities and focuses resources on those priorities.
The next meeting of the Chadwick Bay RDC will be hosted by the City of Dunkirk on Thursday June 8th at 5:30pm. The location of the meeting has yet to be determined.
Patrick Stokes has been approved as the new Executive Director and Secretary after Kathy Tampio stepped down from the positions. Tampio's resignation was accepted with regrets after almost 3 and a half years of service to the corporation.
Patrick, a native of Fredonia, brings many years of experience that includes Director of the prior Empire Zone in the region, and a former Coordinator for the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce. He is currently property manager for Muldowney Development.
The Chadwick Bay Regional Development Corporation adopted amended & restated By-Laws at their meeting on September 11, 2014.
Revisions to the By-Laws included the definition of "Members in Good Standing" , language regarding annual membership dues, and the provision for "Associate" memberships.
